Chewton Rose Biggin Hill understands how the local market operates and is well placed to ensure that whether you wish to buy or sell a property, we can deliver the results that you want.
Biggin Hill rose to fame during the Battle of Britain in 1940, when Spitfire squadrons were stationed there and it was also regarded as Britain’s primary fighter station. Although the town was built on its WWII heritage, Biggin Hill’s varied pubs and restaurants, modest leisure activities, and quality transport links are what make people want to both live and stay here.
Biggin Hill’s main attraction is, of course, Biggin Hill Airport, displaying two Spitfire planes and also offers flight experiences and training. It was formerly the airfield used by the RAF in WWII.
Residents of Biggin Hill can use the local bus services that can take you to areas such as Bromley, Hayes and Orpington. The closest rail link to Biggin Hill is Hayes station, which offers services to London, Reading and Oxford. Biggin Hill is also close to the M25 motorway, which loops London.
A former home to the RAF, Biggin Hill has a population of around 6,000 and is located in the London Borough of Bromley.
It offered two primary schools, but whilst there is just one secondary school in the area there are many others in nearby districts. Rail transport to central London is accessible via decent bus services to Hayes or Bromley.
